Simple *yummy* Roasted Aspargus

I am no lover of vegetables.  I *want* to love them, but I just don't.
But these, THESE, I eat like french fries.  They are that good.  I promise.  I don't lie about vegetables.

Simple Roasted Asparagus

1 lb. asparagus
1/2 TBSP salted butter
pinch coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment.

Snap off the tough ends from the asparagus. Place in a single layer on the baking sheet. Dot with bits of butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake for 12 minutes. Devour.

  1. If you don't want to use butter, spray the asparagus with Pam olive oil. Delicious!

  2. Asparagus is one of the few *green* vegetables I enjoy. This post reminds me that I don't eat enough of it and need to change that.

  3. One of my favorite side dishes! The only difference is that I drizzle extra virgen olive oil instead of the butter. I will have to try butter next time. It looks great!
